The movie trailer that we created represents a movie about twin sisters who begin separate journeys after they have graduated from college.   Each sister embarks on a new journey. Andy has been selected to work at Runway Fashion while Mia embodies the role of royalty.   Andy thinks that her role at Runway will help her further develop her journalism career but she’s in for a rude awakening when her boss has high expectations.  She realizes that she has to prove herself to the fashion community as well as her boss.  Mia is excited to take the position as heir of the throne, but she soon realizes that she needs to find a husband in 30 days in order to become queen of her country.  The challenge continues for Mia as she struggles between two different love relationships.  To start creating this trailer we used the narrative template, which fit our entire story.   The tone of the template was very consistent dramatic, suspenseful and slow which was what we envisioned for this trailer.   The textual subtext directed the audience in the path where our story was going.   For example, at the end of our trailer we used the subtext “Everyone wants to be us” as a way to explain how the editor (Miranda) felt towards Andy.  She is trying to explain to Andy that everyone would kill for an opportunity that she has been granted.  We marketed our audience with Warner Bros because many films with these storylines are represented by Warner Bros.  We chose the title Proper vs. Prada because we felt these characteristics market both movie themes.  Also we think that this title would attract multiple audiences who believe in fantasy as well as drama.  IMovie was our editing template for this project and is a great tool to create clean, simple and creative videos.  In order to adjust the frames of each clip we had to use the enhance tool to crop the Fandango clips that were below.
